Breda Cruises - luxury private cruises in grand 1930’s style
After almost 3 years of restoration, we are now taking enquiries for cruising aboard Breda on the Upper Thames from September 2020 onwards. Keeping in mind the current COVID situation, we will only accept one household with a maximum of 8 people on board for a day cruise. Please get in touch with us, if you need a well-deserved break from lockdown and a cruise in style.
We fell in love with Breda (formally known as DAB II) and her elegant lines back in October 2017. We are passionate about classic ships and their preservation, not only for our enjoyment but also for the preservation of British Naval History. Educating future generations about critical events that took place in 1940, which have shaped our current lives. There’s so much to learn and respect about Breda, how could we miss an opportunity to restore her to her deserved beauty. A piece of our history to admire, to enjoy and to cherish for years to come.
What We Do
We are currently restoring Breda to her former 1930s glory, adding a few hidden modern comforts on board whilst maintaining her glamour. Our work is ongoing, and we have commissioned the work of renowned built builders Dennett’s. We have repaired her hull and weatherproofed her deck, we have also rebuilt her aft saloon. We move on to the next phase, the wheelhouse, the electrical systems, the navigation and the interior design.
What's To Come
We want you to experience Breda for yourself. Breda Cruises Company Ltd intends to offer you private luxurious Motor Yacht hire from 2020 onwards, following the completion of the next Dunkirk Historical Crossing.
We will be able to accommodate up to 12 people on board for drinks, 8 for dinner parties and 4 to stay overnight.
